BAMcafe Live: Golem

Specializing in klezmer minus the clarinet, Golem is one of New York’s go-to bands for Eastern European folk music at its best. Performing songs in Yiddish, Russian, French, and Ladino, they dig deeply into the music’s traditions while still managing to produce “the sort of music you'd expect if the shtetl were filled with punks instead of peasants” (The Washington Post).
