Celebrate BRIC House Opening With Armchair Parade

It's the first day of the rest of BRIC's life.

On its first official day as a Brooklyn arts institution, maybe you should head down to Fulton Street and check out BRIC House?

The Armchair Parade is the first exhibition opening at the new Fulton Street arts center, and it seems like it's going to be a memorable one.

Designed by three artists, a director/designer, composer and filmmaker, the installation is part puppet show, part immersion in the unusual.

The BRIC Blog called it "a whimsical Brooklyn living room populated by a wacky mix of mismatched characters, watching the time go by."

Frankly, we're not sure what to think, but it seems silly to miss it.

Thursday night, BRIC House will host a free (but sold out) concert with reggae artist Broken Spear.
