Artist Jose-Aurelio Baez at Baguetteaboudit

Painter and collage maker to show works starting Aug. 9.

Further cementing its place as a centrally located venue for city artists, will show the works of Jose-Aurelio Baez next month.

Baez, a painter and collagist influenced by comic book art, puts a focus on creating works that are "accessible" to the viewer using a variety of different materials.

The exhibit will debut Aug. 9 at the Vanderbilt Avenue cafe and bakery at 6:30 p.m.

Baguetteaboudit is located at 270 Vanderbilt Ave. between Dekalb and Lafayette avenues.
