Art? or High-Concept Barclays Junk?

New Barclays sculpture has Brooklyn talking.

There's a new addition at the Barclays Center entrance pavilion, and it is...something.

The piece, titled "Ona," made its debut at the Barclays Center last week, and already it has made an impression. Gawkers in front of the arena Tuesday morning were taking photos posing next to it and marveling at its majestic lumpiness.

The New York Daily News seems to think people are impressed with it, reporting that most people they talked to appreciated its

"Ona," according to the paper, is the Polish word for "she."

The sculpture is the work of artist Ursula von Rydingsvard, the paper said, who put it together by chainsawing cedar slabs and putting them together, before casting the whole thing in bronze.

On social media, the verdict is mixed.

"Can't decide whether the new sculpture "Ona" outside The Barclays Center looks more like a tree fossil or a badly decayed tooth," @johnnyrockhill wrote Tuesday on Twitter.

What do you think? Does "She" look good in front of the Barclays Center? Or is there a better place for this work than in front of the most talked-about arena in sports?
