5 Things: Trolley Ride at Green-Wood Cemetery, Music at The Way Station

What you need to know, pre-coffee.

1.Exercise your brain. Come to The Rock Shop for Trivia Tryst's Trivia Night. The games start at 8:30 p.m. and is free to play. Bring your thinking caps and drinking shoes with you. Impress your friends with your big brain and win cash! Enjoy $3 Rolling Rock, $4 Stoli.

2.Listen to music. Make your way over to The Way Station for Miles Schneider + Suite G. Schneider uses a six-string violin, looper and a variety of other electronic effects to weave complex, moody, intriguing soundscapes. Suite G brings some local Brooklyn funk, jazz and soul to the scene with screaming horns, earthshaking rhythms and sultry vocals.

3.Get lost in words. Are you a writer? Don’t miss Lost Lit Writing Workshop at 82 Bond St from 7 to 9 p.m. In the sanctity of a living room-inspired space, with no more than 8 writers, the group will come together with the main purpose—to produce fresh, new writing. This is done through creative prompts and applying the Amherst Writers & Artists method.

4.Take a ride. Have the afternoon off? Go down to Green-Wood Cemetery (500 25th St) for a Historic Trolley Tour. Every Wednesday, a trolley leaves at 1 p.m. and drives through the cemetery’s 478 acres and affords visitors some of the most beautiful views of the city. Tours take three different routes, so pick your favorite or come back multiple times and experience them all.
