Start the weekend early at Celebrate Brooklyn's Old School Funk and Hip-Hop Dance Party at Brooklyn Bridge Park. The event not only includes free dance lessons, but also multiple beer gardens and a bike valet. Details here.

Get out of your weekend rut with Brooklyn Contra's dance party at Brooklyn Lyceum in Park Slope. Don't worry if you've never done it before, there's a beginner contra dance lesson at 7:30pm. Live music by the High Toned String Band. Details here.
