5 Things To Do This Week: 'Game of Thrones' Trivia and 'Herakles' at BAM

Plus spring break activities for kids, a comedy showcase and a panel discussion at the Brooklyn Museum.

 

Monday

If you've got kids on spring break this week, head to Prospect Park, where the carousel will be open from 12 to 5 all week (in Children's Corner, near the intersection of Ocean, Flatbush and Empire) and they have special spring break activites each day

Tuesday

Game of Thrones fans can show of their knowledge at Lola BKLYN, where they're having Trivia Special - Game of Thrones. 387 Myrtle Ave.,  8:30 p.m. Free.

Wednesday

See a classic tonight at BAM, where Aquila Theatre performes Euripides’ Herakles After each performance there will be a talk with noted writers, activists, combat veterans, and actors. BAM Fisher Theatre, 321 Ashland Place. $40 ($20 for veterans and groups of 10 or more). 7:30 p.m.

Thursday

Immerse yourself in culture this evening at the Brooklyn Museum, which is open until 10 p.m. Thursday nights. At 6 p.m. there's a tour of Gravity and Grace: Monumental Works by El Anatsui, followed at 7 p.m. by the panel discussion: In Conversation: Valerie Hegarty and Marela Zacarias. Both events are free with a suggested admission of $12 to the museum. No time to eat? Try out the new cafe, which will be open until 8 p.m. 

Friday

Laugh off the week at Gentrify Brooklyn is a weekly improv, sketch, and stand-up comedy show. Each week it is hosted by comedy trios SIDECAR (Justin Tyler, Matt Fisher, Alden Ford), M.A.D. (D'Arcy Erokan, Abra Tabak, MacKenzie Condon), and special guests. Brooklyn Lyceum, 225 Fourth Avenue between President and Union Streets, 10 p.m., $5.
