Get involved. Want to improve mass transit? Tonight you can combine that desire with your competing desire to hit the bar at Beer for Better Transit: Riders Alliance Happy Hour @ Branded Saloon. You can to rub elbows with like-minded neighbors, make new friends, and learn about how you can support grassroots campaigns to win better subway and bus service. 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Wednesday

Get lost in words. If you're been meaning to get back to that screenplay or novel, don’t miss Lost Lit Writing Workshop at 82 Bond St from 7 to 9 p.m. In the sanctity of a living room-inspired space, with no more than 8 writers, the group will come together with the main purpose—to produce fresh, new writing. This is done through creative prompts and applying the Amherst Writers & Artists method.

 

Thursday

Fix something. The Fixers’ Collective is a weekly social experiment in improvisational fixing and mending. Bring your broken thing and place it on the fixing table for collective consideration. Proteus Gowanus. 

 

Friday

3. End the week on a high note. Might we suggest the improv sketch night happening this evening, hosted by comedy trios Sidecar, M.A.D. and guests at Gentrify Brooklyn? 10 p.m.
