There's a Robot Petting Zoo, prototypes and never-before-seen technologies such as genetic engineering kits and super-strong lasers, plus talks, panel discussions and a video game-enhanced Dance-off. Noon to 8, Free. More info on Innovation Square here. Afterwards, head to The Dance of the Planets at Pier 1 at Brooklyn Bridge Park.

2. Gobble some extra-good grub. Today is the first of three food truck rallies at the Barclays Center. With Grand Army Plaza's food truck rally expanding to every other week this summer, Brooklynites need never sit down to eat again. 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Enjoy Brooklyn's own. Today there's also Spoke the Hub’s Local Produce Festival of the Performing Arts, "a community-based, cultural 'green market' featuring the diversity, creativity and vitality of Brooklyn’s own performing artists-in-residence of all ages," according to the community center's website. The festival, at Old Stone House in Park Slope's Washington Park, also includes a “Wellness Arts” area and the “As Long As It Rolls” Parade. The very popular kids band City Stomp Live headlines the event.

spin art, tattoos, a mini-carousel, carnival games, arts & crafts, a bake
sale and balloons. Plus, the event is a fundraiser for Families First, a non-profit. 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., 250 Baltic St. bet. Court and Clinton.
