Handicap Match

A 21-year-old male was arrested on the corner of Fulton St. and Lafayette Ave. on charges of assault, after choking a 20-year-old female and slamming her into a car during a dispute on May 12 at 12:00 p.m.. A witness pulled the defendant off the victim, but the defendant then pushed the victim into a gate, causing injuries to her neck, left wrist and thumb. He then fled from police to prevent being arrested.

An Incoming Call

On May 15 at 3:00 a.m., a verbal dispute between two women at 200 Tillary St. led to the arrest of a 46-year-old female on charges of assault.  The woman attacked her 33-year-old friend with a cell phone, hitting her in the head with it and causing a laceration above her left eye. The defendant also bit the right thumb of the victim. The victim was taken to Brooklyn Hospital and released shortly after.

From Brooklyn to Manhattan

Three men, ages 17, 18, and 22, were arrested for stealing $970 worth of goods from a 19-year-old male at the corner of Flatbush Ave. and Atlantic Ave. The incident, which took place at 2:00 a.m. on May 13, saw the trio steal two rings, a watch and headphones, before ducking into an arriving 4 train. They were spotted at Union Square shortly after by police, where a search for the items brought a positive result.

 

A Mad Dash

On May 13 at 9:00 a.m., a 16-year-old male was arrested for forcibly removing headphones valued at $200 from a 15-year-old male acquaintance. The defendant fled from police before being apprehended at the corner of Fulton St. and St. James Pl.

 

A Scary Situation

Police are still searching for clues in reference to a 29-year-old female who was attacked at 45 S. Elliott Pl. on May 13 at 9:20 p.m. While checking mail in her apartment lobby, an unidentified male grabbed her 27-year-old friend from behind and put her in a chokehold. When the 29-year-old ran away, the perp ditched her friend and ran after her, snatching her purse which contained items valuing $579, including two phones, earrings and a Visa credit card. The perp also displayed a knife during the incident.
