James' Aide Found Dead in Brooklyn Apartment

Alfred Chiodo, 57, was urban-affairs director for Councilwoman.

A top aide to Fort Greene Councilwoman and Public Advocate-elect Letitia James was found dead in his Crown Heights apartment Thursday, according to the New York Post.

Alfred Chiodo was the urban-affairs director operating out of James' office, and reportedly had not been seen for a few days before his body was discovered.

James took to Twitter to memorialize Chiodo Friday morning, praising his love of Brooklyn and his work to improve the community.

"Alfred was passionate about the work he did," James wrote. "He looked at our city with rose-colored glasses. He was a kind man, and a generous spirit, and he will be deeply missed."
