Great Escape: Brooklyn Cyclones at MCU Park

Enjoy America's favorite pastime, in our favorite borough.

As temps soar into the 90s this week, the boys of summer are heating up MCU Park. Brooklyn’s own Cyclones call Coney Island home, and with a backdrop of the legendary boardwalk and beautiful Atlantic Ocean, it’s no wonder thousands of fans are flocking to the field.

A day at the ballpark is never a strikeout with everything MCU offers. Aside from the thrill of the game, in-house entertainment includes the Beach Bums dance team, Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Race and beloved mascots Sandy the Seagull and Pee Wee. You may even have a chance to meet your favorite Cyclone as players and coaches are usually available before games for autographs and photos.

The Cyclones have fun promotions with freebies and special deals every season. The new Mini Mini Plan includes a field box seat to any three games, free food at each game, a replica Cyclones jersey and free large Domino’s pizza, not to mention a chance to win a pizza party for you and 10 friends with the Cyclones. Plus, nearly every game features a giveaway such as bobbleheads, t-shirts, visors and more.

This Saturday and Sunday host a battle of the boroughs as the Cyclones take on rivals the Staten Island Yankees at MCU Park. The Yanks lead the New York-Penn League McNamara with 24 wins, and the Cyclones trail in second with 17 victories.

Can we beat ‘em this weekend? Be there to find out! Saturday’s promotion is a schedule magnet available for the first 3,000 fans and post-game fireworks. Sunday caters to kids with pre-game catch on the field and Kids Run the Bases post-game. Both days are sure to be home runs with your family and friends!
