There's a few more weeks before school's out, which means many families still have to pack in as much fun into the weekend as possible. With this in mind, we've assembled a great selection of musical performances, carousel rides, culture and sports — all within minutes of your front door.

Dillon School Sunfest

What? Dillon School takes the weekend summer fair to the next level with their Sunfest, which features a mini-carousel, a raffle, arts and crafts, face painting, children's activities, SUNFEST cafe and... wait for it... pony rides! Plus music by Bill Carney and the Jug Addicts.

What? A neighborhood favorite, 's story time this week features an interactive reading of The ABCs of Brooklyn: An Alphabet Guidebook for All Ages with author G. Augustine Lynas and photographer Peter Vadnai. The book is designed to appeal to kids and grownups alike with tidbits on the borough’s culture and history along with the letters of the alphabet on every page.

Where? Greenlight Bookstore, 686 Fulton St. at South Portland Avenue.

When? Saturday, June 4 at 11 a.m.

How Much? Free.

Ages? 3 to 8.

From Africa to Brooklyn

What? The Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts presents a month-long exhibition of highlights from a year in art from students of six Brooklyn schools – including photography, graphic design, screen-printing, dance, film and more.

Where? Mocada, 80 Hanson Place at South Portland Avenue.

When? Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. until June 26.

How much? $5 ($4 students and seniors); free for children.

Ages? All ages.

Creole Choir of Cuba

What? As part of the, BAM presents the U.S. premiere of the Grammy-nominated Creole Choir of Cuba. The group will perform a collection of Haitian and Martinique meringues, mazurkas and other styles — sung in Creole and accompanied by Afro-Caribbean percussion.

Where? Howard Gilman Opera House, 30 Lafayette Ave., between Ashland Place and St. Felix Street.

When? Saturday, June 4 at 8 p.m.

How Much? $20—40.

Ages? 8 and above.

Batter Up!

What? The Brooklyn Children's Museum presents a special feature on the great American pastime of baseball. How on earth do the players do it? 400 yard runs, almost 5 tons of force?! Learn about the physics behind the game and take an inside look at the game by dissecting a baseball!

Where? Brooklyn Children's Museum, 145 Brooklyn Ave. at St. Mark's Avenue.

When? Sunday, June 5 at 1:30 p.m.

How Much? Free with museum admission.

Ages? 4 and up.
