Grab and Go! Where to Take the Kids This Week

This week's top choices for how to entertain the kids (and yourself!) in the neighborhood.

It's July and you've got a lot of free time with the kids, so we've got the remedy—a lot of FREE events—all a quick walk (or bus ride) away. Running the gamut from the ground below to the sky above, this week's picks are sure to help keep the summer boredom at bay (at least for a little while longer....).

Habana Outpost's Kids Corner

What? If your kid has been harassing you for a pet but you just can't imagine squeezing one more living thing into your "two bedroom," head over to Kid's Corner at Habana Outpost this weekend and make everyone happy with Habana's “Pet Rocks” weekend. Learn about rocks and then make one into a friend to take home. They eat cheap and won't leave any friendly reminders on your carpet.

Where? , 757 Fulton St. at South Portland Avenue.

When? Sat., July 9, and Sun. July 10 from noon to 4 p.m.

Ages? All ages.

How Much? Free... as in, costs nothing.
