Get Out: Things To Do This Weekend

This weekend's local best bets for singing, dancing, eating, and drinking - sometimes all at once.

Got any friends who aren't lucky enough to live in the Fort  Greene-Clinton Hill area? Well, tell them they to come over baby because this weekend, there's going to be a whole lotta shakin' going on. Plus with raffles, delicious local snacks, and maybe a frozen mojito or two, it's sure to be a great weekend in our area -- no matter how many left feet you have.

HABANA BLOCK PARTY

What? Habana Outpost hosts a day of fun in the (weather permitting) sun! Live music, games, fashion, raffles, and other activities served alongside their famous grilled corn and frozen mojitos.

LEFFERTS GARDEN DISCO IN CLINTON HILL

What? Bring your kids and your polyester flare pants and head to the Lefferts Garden Montessori School's kiddie disco fundraiser. Free snacks for kids, face painting, balloon animals and a raffle with great prizes!

Where?  Rustik Tavern, 471 Dekalb Ave. at Kent Ave. Indoor and outdoor space, so the event will take place rain or shine.

When? Saturday May 14, 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm

How Much? $10 for adults, $5 for kids, LGM students are free.

QUEEN OF ALL SAINTS STREET FAIR

What? Whether or not you choose to attend mass, you can still enjoy delicious food, local artists, and family entertainment on Sunday at the Queen of All Saints Church Street Fair. Can I get an Amen?

Where? Queen of All Saints Church, 300 Vanderbilt Ave. between Dekalb and Lafayette Aves.

DIE WALKURE

What? BAM's live in HD series of screenings of Metropolitan Opera performances continues with the second installment of Robert Lepage’s new Ring cycle, Die Walküre. With Bryn Terfel and Deborah Voigt, and conducted by James Levine.

What? A roving all day and night party all along Fulton Street in Fort Greene and Clinton Hill, featuring local businesses and artisans.
