Fort Greene Park Tennis Court Gets Facelift

A tennis court construction and restoration service worked on the court Thursday afternoon.

It appears the tennis court in Fort Greene Park is being spruced-up.

Employees from Oval Tennis, a tennis court construction, restoration and maintenance service, could be seen Thursday afternoon working on the court.

A spokesperson for the NYC Parks and Recreation Department told Patch the project should be completed by the end of next week. "The courts’ surface is being repaired: completely re-leveled, cracks filled, new paint and seal coat," he said.

The work was funded by the local tennis community, aided by a small USTA grant, he continued

The tennis court is most easily accessible from the park entrance located at DeKalb and S. Portland avenues.
