Community Tribute for Rev. David Dyson

On the eve of his retirement, Rev. David Dyson, pastor of  Lafayette Avenue Presbyterian Church (LAPC), will be honored for his work promoting human rights in Ft. Greene and around the world.

Rev. Dyson has had a storied career. In addition to his 18 years of service at LAPC, Rev. Dyson has worked for several years as a boycott coordinator for the United Farm Workers, and as a driver and bodyguard for Cesar Chavez.

The tribute is organized by Pratt Area Community Council, Councilmember Letitita James, New York State Senator Velmanette Montgomery, and New York State Assembly Hakeem Jeffries.
