Aug. 4: From Orchestras to Jazz

A look at what's happening in the neighborhood today

The work week is almost done! With just two days left to go, the concerts playing through the neighborhood will be sure to lift your spirits and give you the push you need to get through the home stretch.

From R&B festivals to jazz performances, here are the five things you need to know for today:

1. Maxi Priest will hold the of the 2011 R&B Festival at MetroTech Concert Stage. The music kicks off at 7:30pm.

2. The flicks at BAMcinematek continue with showings of The Challenge at 4:30, 6:50 and 9:15pm.

3. will be performing at the weekly Greenleaf Jazz & The Spoken Word series at Fort Greene Park from 6:00-8:00pm.
