Attention Ladies: Lonely Clinton Hill Gent Looking For 'Love'

For the single among us, there are plenty of options for finding, if not the perfect mate, then the ideal hook-up: Craigslist, OK Cupid, eHarmony, et al.

Now add Clinton-Washington C line station to the list. 

While navigating Monday's afternoon rush hour commute, we noticed a sign taped to the wall at the station's Washington Avenue entrance at Fulton Street.

The sign calls for women interested in "one nite stands only" and dates at McDonalds, Wendy's and Popeye's.

But what really caught our eye was the hint of more delicate sensibilities from Clinton Hill's anonymous subway lothario.

"Meaning maybe romance," reads one part of the sign, which also gives out the possibility of long walks and trips to the aquarium.

Defying the instructions, "ladies only," this editor called one of the numbers on the sign.

What sounded like a youngish male answered the phone, held the line for a moment and then hung up.

Perhaps one of our female readers will have more "luck."
