Are CitiBike Stations Ruining Fort Greene, Clinton Hill?

Debate is on over the new bike stations and their effect on historical landmark districts.

Some Fort Greene and Clinton Hill residents are already calling for the removal of Citibike stations from the neighborhoods, saying they are inappropriately situated the in historic areas.

Locals were not consulted about the stations' locations, residents have also complained, and they're making sure everyone knows they are not satisfied with the situation.

Flyers pointing out that advertising is not permitted on landmarked residential blocks have been plastered on a station on Clermont and Lafayette avenues, Brownstoner first noted.

Some elected officials have also sounded off on the new neighborhood installments: Renee Collymore, female district leader for the 57th Assembly District recently tweeted "On Dekalb Ave & Flatbush Ave the CitiBike initiative has taken over the entire left side of the street. #noparking"
