Start your honeymoon off right before you even leave home. The folks at The Greene Grape can put together a special gift basket for your significant other that ranges from the cute to the romantic. Choose from their "breakfast in bed" set that includes Vermont Grade A maple syrup and McClure's Bloody Mary Mix, or opt to mix and match from their selection of fine cheeses, charcuteries and wines.

Eastern Car Service (63 Flushing Ave., near Perry St. 866-499-7177)

The G train will put on a damper on anyone's honeymoon plans. Forgo the subway and splurge on a decked out limo from this long-standing company that serves the Fort Greene area. Choose from hourly services ($35) to get you from one destination to the next, or hire a driver for the day for the ultimate luxury experience.

Cynergy Spa (87 Fort Greene Place, near Fulton St.; 718-403-9242)

While most spas offer couples massages, this Fort Greene relaxation haven takes the concept to a whole new level with their Couple’s Special ($320). An initial session in a private jacuzzi is followed by a 55 minute, side by side massage. Afterwards, enjoy champagne and sparkling juice with fresh strawberries and high-end chocolate.

iCi (246 Dekalb Ave. at Vanderbilt Ave.; (718) 789-2278)

For a delicious and intimate dinner, head to local mom-and-pop favorite iCi for a romantic setting in their beautiful outdoor garden. Their hangar steak ($25) and steamed bouchot mussels ($13) are among the most requested items on their french bistro menu, but the highlight here is the quiet atmosphere and attentive service even on full nights, making it feel as though you’re the only two people in the restaurant.

Alma Victoria Guesthouse of Brooklyn (62 Putnam Ave. near Classon Ave.; 646-713-4513)

Need to get away from the kids (or comparably noisy neighbors) for the night? This guesthouse in Clinton Hill offers two hotel style rooms and four “Zen” private studios ($99-150 per night), half with kitchenettes and the other half with full kitchens. In addition to the tastefully decorated studios and knowledgable staff, the location is just a 10 minute walk away from places that are great for spending some alone time on a weekday like Prospect Park and Brooklyn Museum.

Alternatively, there are also several companies that offer apartment rentals for the night or the week in the Fort Greene area, including some that are located on tree-lined buildings with your own private garden.
