5 Things To Do Next Week: April 22-27

A play-by-play of Brooklyn events happening in the week ahead.

1. Say Hello, Playoffs. Tonight the Brooklyn Nets will face off again with the Chicago Bulls at the Barclays Center. Bring out the black and white at 8 p.m.

2. Put on your good suit. This Wednesday, Brooklyn Museum turns up the fancy with the Brooklyn Artists Ball: Twenty artists, festive cocktails and a sumptuous seated dinner in the Museum's magnificent Beaux-Arts Court. Plus! An after-party with dessert and dancing amid a one-night-only installation by artist Luis Gispert in the Museum's magical Rubin Glass Pavilion. But it will cost you: Tickets for the evening are $1k and up. Tickets to the after-party only, however, are a wee $75 by comparison.

3. Watch backyard movies. Now that spring has sprung, it's time to head over to Lavender Lake and indulge in their expansive backyard. As it happens, the Gowanus-based bar features free movies during the week. See North by Northwest and Midnight Run on Tuesday and Unforgiven and Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid on Wednesday. 383 Carroll Street.

4. Hop on, hop off. After being shuttered for what feels like forever to Brooklyn residents and local businesses, the Smith-9th St. station serviced by F/G subway lines will reopen this Friday at 10:30 a.m. Huzzah!

5. Move your car. Alternate side parking is in effect.
