NY Cabbie Stikes Pedestrian

Road rage gone horribly wrong between a taxi driver and a cyclist leaves a young woman with serious leg injuries.

The streets of New York are a hustle and bustle of taxi cabs, cyclists, motor vehicle drivers and pedestrians. It should be a given that safety comes first when operating any type of vehicle on NYC streets.

Unfortunately in this case, a taxi drivers hot temper leaves behind a traumatic seen and an innocent young girl fighting for her life.

Witnesses say the cab driver became angry, honked his horn, and then accelerated, on the busy curb — pinning the young woman under the cab. The young woman is currently being treated at Bellevue Hospital were doctors are fighting to save her right leg.

Recently, I was reading a post of a women that was syphathizing with the taxi driver. In my opinion for what it's worth, as drivers we have a responsibility to drive safely.  Road rage is not excusable and can cause serious injury, as seen here in this story.  There is no excuse for such destructive behavior.
