Established in 1978, the Fort Greene Historic District has played a major part in the area's transformation into one of the most desirable neighborhoods in New York City.

And now, with a study completed by the city Landmarks and Preservation Commission, Fort Greene's historic designation is set to expand.

However, not all property owners potentially affected by the expansion agree on the benefits of historic designation.

So we thought we'd take a page from Fort Greene Association, which has sponsored a petition in favor of moving the landmark expansion issue forward, in asking this question:

"Should the Fort Greene Historic District be extended?"
