Michael Ian Black to Fort Greene: 'You're Not Doing It Right'
Sardonic funnyman heading to Greenlight Bookstore.
Michael Ian Black, the comedian behind such hits like "Wet Hot American Summer" and the occasional miss ("Michael and Michael Have Problems," "Stella"), has a lot to say—and he clearly isn't afraid to speak his mind.
According to an engaging interview in today's Brooklyn Paper timed for the release of his new book, "You're Not Doing It Right," Black wants people to know about his friendship (with benefits!) with would-be first daughter Meghan McCain, how his marriage will probably end in divorce and his not-so-secret narcissistic tendencies.
Oh, and one other thing...
"In all fairness, I hated both of my babies, because they were shitty babies and I resented the amount of sleep I wasn’t getting as a result of their existence," Black told the Paper, referring to a chapter entitled, "I Hate My Baby." "It was very difficult and quite awful, but nobody ever wants to acknowledge that sometimes parents hate their babies."
Time will tell whether Fort Greene-Clinton Hill moms, who regularly patronize the location of his second stop on his Brooklyn book tour, will agree.
Michael Ian Black reads from "You're Not Doing It Right." Greenlight Bookstore, 686 Fulton St. March 15. 7:30 p.m. Free.

I appreciate it when parents admit that babies are really just life sucking aliens.
Call a spade a spade.
