Chase Bank Robbed in Early Morning Stick Up

Suspect in Myrtle Avenue heist is still at large.

A Chase bank branch on Myrtle Avenue near the corner of Vanderbilt Avenue in Fort Greene was robbed Monday morning, police said. 

According to police, a man handed over a note to one of the bank's tellers at 9:29 a.m. The suspect then fled westbound on Myrtle Avenue with an unknown amount of cash.

No injuries were reported.

Police described the suspect as a black male wearing a blue-hooded sweatshirt.

The robbery was the second in Fort Greene for the Manhattan-based financial giant in two months. A hold-up at a Chase branch on Flushing Avenue July 1 was connected to at banks across the city.

The suspect in that case was described by police as a black or Hispanic man, standing between 5-foot-9 and 6-foot-1 in his 20s or 30s.

The search for the suspect in Monday morning's robbery was ongoing, police said.
